*A selection of General Comments Received from the Research.*

• Excellent Insurance Policy for keeping the car on the road. well worth the money. (1st time user).

• We found the notes to place a completely different complexion on the whole event. First and foremost for us was safety in comparison to the Targa notes. We tested the notes on the Sunday and found no difficulty in comprehension. Without a doubt they improved our performance and I have no hesitation in using them again next year. Strongly Recommended. Well done. (1st)

• I thought the Notes were excellent, as with past years. I believe it would be much more difficult (dangerous?!) to achieve a Targa Trophy without them. This is particularly true where the driver has limmited Targa experience. (P.U. - Previous User)

• So much easier on the driver with greatly reduced risk. Lower fuel consumption. Helps knowing what is around the next corner and being able to plan my line(s) accordingly. (1st)

• I don't know how anyone could compete in Targa without pacenotes because the Roadbooks do not give all the information required. We probably would not have finished Targa if we did not have the Notes. (1st)

• The Notes are excellent and accurate. Comment on the price is that it is THE BEST investment a team can make in Targa. (P.U)

The above quotes have come from entrants who compete in Targa in a variety of cars and categories. Users have included competitors from the historic to modern classes.

Other comments received include:

• We won’t go (to Targa West) unless we can get yours (notes) – we have implicit faith in them now. The notes have become a powerful tool for Lin to fully contribute in what we do together, and we go much faster as a result. You’ve also helped us get on the podium and many top tens. (B.Dermott after Suncoast Classic 2007)

• The pace notes are excellent, thanks – never having used such things before we were up to speed with them after a few stages.
How on earth could you do an event without them? (R.Pereni, 2007)

• "We’ve been using Ron’s Rally Notes for the past 5 years.
Fast and safe is what we are all aiming for in a tarmac rally and Rally Notes makes a huge contribution to making it possible.
We have tried an alternative (because Rally Notes didn’t cover a small regional event) and the experience confirmed our suspicions that Rally Notes are reliable, consistent and accurate." (Brett Kay October 2008)

Case study Classic Adelaide 2008

Previous users of Rally Notes in Targa etc decided to try Blacktac 'notes for the Classic Adelaide Rally. During reconnaissance a few days before the event, they found the Blacktac 'notes didn't 'flow' as well as what they were used to with their customary Rally Notes.

A quick phone call to Rally Notes had them back on track with recce within hours.
